Piter Wilkens
Knoopkes
Frisian's pride when it comes to singer/songwriting. Piter Wilkens is the troubadour (or like he calls himself: "troedeboer" - i.e. a mixture with the word 'farmer' in it) from Friesland (Fryslân). He sings in the local language of this part of The Netherlands, sometimes supported by a band but most of the time only playing acoustic guitar himself.

His last album "Fûgeltsje Yn Myn Gitaar" contains translated work of the singer/songwriter Cornelis Vreeswijk.
